Using negative keyword with PPC
It is very important to add negative keywords to your PPC campaign so that you don’t end up paying for terms you don’t want. When you bid on a broad term you will show up for the root term plus any variation of that term. It is often the case that 2 phrases that share the same root represent entirely different ideas. Some of them are obvious and you enter them when you set up your campaign. The way to come up with the ones that are not obvious is to look at your log files. Go to the keyword section of your web statistics program and find the keywords that you don’t want and put those in as negative keywords.
