Track your conversions
If your website has a call to action you need to track to see if your marketing is effective. This is called conversion tracking. If the only call to action you have is a phone number you need to get whoever is answering the phone to ask them how they found you. Phone calls are the hardest call to action to track. Some people will show text that says click here to get phone number so they can track it better. I don’t recommend this. You run the risk of somebody not calling you because they did not click on your link.Anything somebody does online can be tracked so it is easier to track when somebody downloads something, submits a form, or buys something. There are several ways to do this. One way is to have your site email you the referrer info when somebody fills out your form. Another way is to use a 3rd party that gives you some code to stick in your form. If you are using Google Adwords you may have access to Google Analytics. If you don’t call Google Adwords support and ask them if you can get it. Google Analytics is free and provides code to let you track your conversions. You can find lots of companies that provide this service. One way to find them would be to type “conversion tracking” into Google.
