When doing PPC or SEO you need to do keyword research. The first thing you do is come up with your core keywords. These are you root phrases. Write down a list of phrases that are 2 to 3 words long. Always be adding content and try to work these keywords into them. Always watch your web server log files so you can find new keywords you never thought of before. One of the reasons to blog and constantly add new articles to your site is to get as many words as you can on your site. The more words you have the better chance you have of finding new combinations. If you don’t plan to do PPC you can just do PPC for one day or once a month just to troll for keywords. When you set up broad match in PPC you will see the keywords that people used to get to your site in your log files.
