Use site targeting in Google Adwords

Most people know that including the content network in your normal Google Adwords pay per click campaigns is a bad idea. This does not mean the content network is useless. Adwords site targeting allows you to advertise on specific sites. This can be a lot cheaper than PPC and if done right can convert very well. They also offer the ability to advertise on sites that match certain keywords and even demographics like age and household income. Find websites where you think your potential customers might visit and also host Google Adsense. Use your keyword data from your log files to search Google and find sites that rank well for those terms. You can also search blog search engines like www.technorati.com. You bid per 1000 impressions so watch Adwords reports closely to make sure you are not getting too much bad traffic. As always you should track conversions using your favorite Analytics program. Google Analytics in your Adwords account is free and very nice. Not all have access to this so call Google and see if you can talk them into letting you have it.
