www.webmasterworld.com puts up adsense for april fools day.

This is from a thread I posted on www.webmasterworld.com in the Supporters section on Nov 29, 2004.

Many people talk about backlinks and anchor text and that it is the most important aspect of SEO for the Google search engine. Don’t get me wrong they are important but on-page SEO is still very important. If you do the on page stuff right you will need much less PR and anchor text.

Here is a list of important factors. I will discuss each one further down. They are not in any particular order. Some people like to order them and give the values of how important they are but I just make a list and do all of them.

I made several comments at www.webmasterworld.com about this subject.

On Webmasterworld there are 2 threads on this one for the
advertisers and one for the publishers. Google Adwords has added a
feature so that advertisers have a blacklist of sites that they don’t want
their ad on.

There are many issues with this. Will advertisers throw away sales becasue
they are not smart enough to really check a site out before putting them in the
list. Publishers shoudl not be too concerned because most people that are
going to do this already have their ads banned on all content networks
probably.

I found a thread at wmw that had several links to videos and papers on how the Google file system works. It was very interesting if your into geek stuff like that.
