How to remove sitewide links from Yahoo linkdomain:
If you want to find your back links you can go to www.yahoo.com and type in linkdomain:www.mysite.com. If somebody has put your link all of their pages or just several pages you can remove that from your linkdomain: search. What I will do is linkdomain:www.mysite.com -site:mysite.com -site:othersite1.com -site:othersite2.com Keep adding domains until you get rid of all the extra junk. I found I had to add -site:yahoo.com because my Yahoo directory link was put in quite a few different yahoo directories.
This also works the other way to only show links from one site or links that contain other words like type in “directory” to find all sites that link to you and have the word “directory” on them. You can play around with the other advanced searches like intitle: inurl:. I like to try linkdomain:www.mysite.com inurl:”edu” to see if I have in .edu links.

On a mild tangent - how’s your Yahoo! directory listing working out for you? Did you pay for it? I’ve never had one do very well, or even heard of a wildly successful listing.

As of right now linkdomain:myclient.com site:yahoo.com returns 28 links. I was able to get some keywords in the anchor text as well. The only linking I have done so far for this site is directory submissions including Yahoo. The site have moved up on many medium level terms. Directory links are very helpful for long tail and medium competitive terms. It is never going to get you your big term. I might move you up a few slots or put you in the top 30 for your big term. I really think the Yahoo directory is worth it.

Yeah I agree. Web Directory links are helpful for long tail and medium competitive terms. Links comes from related sites are very helpful for a very competitive terms especially if the links comes from a high pagerank sites. I think that links coming from yahoo directory will also help your rankings on yahoo search.
